Among the longest standing and most important export markets for German Textile machinery, Turkey holds the number two position. For the Turkish textile industry, Germany is by far the biggest supplier of machinery (in 2008 exports worth 157 million Euro - in 2007 Germany had a market share of 43 %), keeping the main competitors Italy and Switzerland on significant distance.
